Hiking on top of the Na Pali Coast
If you have a vacation rental in Poipu, Kauai make sure you have a car and can venture west. There are some great places to see only about 30 minutes away, on what is known as the “west side” of kauai. Traveling from Poipu, take Poipu rd into Koloa and make a left at the chevron onto Koloa rd. Follow Koloa rd North West until you come to the end at Kaumualii highway or the 50 and make a left. Follow the 50 all the way to Waimea and make a right at Waimea Canyon rd, take some time to stop along the way as Waimea Canyon is beautiful. After enjoying the canyon views continue onto Kokee rd and travel to the end through Kokee State Park. At the end there is a parking lot and a lookout, be sure to bring your hiking shoes as there is a great trail that takes you along the top of the Na Pali Coast. There is a 1 mile and 3 mile trail, be sure ou have some time to spend as this is one of the most beautiful places i have ever been.
